Desland Robinson

Born and raised on the west side of Birmingham, AL. She lived briefly in Huntsville only to realize her heart was with her hometown.  Desland is a two-time graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Management and a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Development. A seasoned career professional presently serving as Talent Acquisition Manager with Shipt HQ in downtown Birmingham, she oversees campus recruiting and diversity programs. She has over 15 years of experience in early career professional development and building of industry partnerships within the Birmingham community and surrounding areas. Desland has served as a recruiter, career advisor, small business advocate, and connector of talent within industries such as insurance, tech and engineering. With the focus of empowering all in their continued life journey, she also servs on the Leadership Council for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama. In her spare time, Desland enjoys family outdoor activities, completing craft projects with her kids and spending quality time with her husband, Everett!
